The Fleshman Singers

The Fleshman Singers are a family gospel group from Cleveland, Ohio, renowned for their powerful harmonies and uplifting performances. The group features three talented sisters along with their father – together, they form a female gospel-soul quartet anchored by dad’s guiding presence. The Fleshman Singers’ journey began in the New Light Missionary Baptist Church, where eldest sister Ken’Raya Fleshman stunned the congregation at age 6 with a big voice well beyond her years. By the time she was 11, Ken’Raya had recruited her younger sisters (then just 7, 4, and 3) and little brother to “practice” singing upstairs at home, stomping and clapping until their parents realized they were serious about performing. In 2010 the family officially became The Fleshman Singers, and they’ve been spreading love through music ever since.

Steeped in the quartet gospel tradition, the Fleshman Singers deliver old-school spirituals with youthful energy and contemporary flair. Their performances are filled with energetic call-and-response vocals, tight-knit four-part harmonies, and heartfelt solos that often bring audiences to their feet. The sisters’ voices blend in joyful praise, while Father “Booskie” Fleshman often joins in with a steady baritone and proud encouragement. They’ve built a following across Ohio, singing at churches, community events, and gospel showcases wherever they can share their message. Known for their energetic performances and powerful harmonies, the Fleshman Singers aim to inspire every listener. Festival-goers can expect an uplifting set that feels like a Sunday morning celebration – full of clapping, singing, and the unbreakable family spirit that drives this remarkable gospel group.
